TITLE:                       DVSAC Fiscal Grants Manager


REPORTS TO:           DVSAC Executive Director


FUNCTION:    The Fiscal Grants Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of DVSAC’s financial information, to produce accurate and timely reports, and to continuously improve the overall accounting functions.



  1. Reviews all invoices and supporting documents for all accounts payable and conducts communication necessary to collect all documents.

  2. Follow-up with documentation sent to DVSAC Fiscal Office for check disbursements and financial reports.

  3. Prepares, copies, and maintains check requests and receipt files with supporting documents.

  4. Enters, maintains, and updates data for multiple federal and local grants, including all in-kind and outreach data.

  5. Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal reports for Executive Director and Board of Directors.

  6. Assists Executive Director in developing and reviewing fiscal year budgets for DVSAC and requests revisions, if necessary.

  7. Assists in the preparation of private and public grants.

  8. Assists in the tracking of fundraising efforts of DVSAC.

  9. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.

  10. Assists the Executive Director with the USDOJ Coalition report on a quarterly basis by the 5th of the next month (April, July, October, January).

  11. Assists the Executive Director with USDHHS Coalition annual report by October 1 of each year.

  12. Assumes other responsibilities as assigned.



Physical:  Office environment.

Social:  Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals and to maintain client confidentiality.



  • Operation of general office equipment, such as copier and fax machines.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications and accounting software.



  • Maintain contact with DVSAC Executive Director.

  • Maintain ongoing contact with administrative staff and DVSAC Board Treasurer.



Full-time, Exempt Position



The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, goal and team-oriented leader who will appreciate and thrive in a socially progressive environment. Qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in fiscal management activities. Grant writing and administration experience a plus;

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required;

  • A demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of financial and budget administration and accounting controls;

  • Knowledge of pertinent local and federal rules, regulations, and laws;

  • Committed to and passionate about creating a work place and community free from sexism, racism, homophobia, and all other oppressions;

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, familiarity with domestic violence and sexual assault issues, sensitivity to multi-cultural communities, non-judgmental attitude, and familiarity with Virgin Islands culture, community and geography;

  • Ability to work in diverse environment as a member of a strong team.

Computer skills are essential, experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred. Peachtree and QuickBooks knowledge/aptitude required. The ability to work beyond traditional business hours may be required.
